​Submission guidelines

Manuscripts must be sent for review in non-editable electronic format (pdf). One file will include the title, an abstract about 200 words and the text of the work; both title and abstract must be written in the language of the work and in English. A second file (also in pdf format) will gather all images contained in the contribution. Altogether, the length of the works should be between 50 and 100 pages. Manuscripts should not include author’s name. This will be in a separate document containing also the following contact information: e-mail address, phone number and institutional affiliation. Contributors must attach a document signed by each of the authors stating it is an original work and has not been yet published or is pending publication in any other medium and they own the property or permission for publishing the illustrations.

After the review and the acceptance of changes –if necessary–, final contributions must be submitted in an editable format, preferably MS Word. All images complementing the text should be sent in independent documents and accompanied by a document including the list of illustrations with their corresponding captions.

​Review and acceptance of manuscripts

Once manuscripts are received, the editorial board of Estudis Arqueològics will value in first place the scientific relevance and the compliance to the series’ standards. Subsequently, they will be peer reviewed employing the double-blind method of evaluation. Editorial board commits to notify via e-mail the author(s) the acceptance or not of the originals within a period of six months and, if admitted, this also notify them the submission to two referees. Each external referee will give one report that the editorial board will use for suggesting appropriate recommendations.

After finally acceptance, contributor(s) will receive proofs in order to make a quick correction. Significant changes will not be admitted.
