On 26th of March 2004 in Sant Celoni the day "Les Vies Verdes del Vallès" was held, organized by the Town Council of Sant Celoni and the Càtedra de Geografia i Pensament Territorial de la Universitat de Girona (UdG). The objectives of the first day were firstly to present the studies on ecological connectivity in the zone as well as the main planning that shape the interconnectivity of the ecologicy and landscape and, in second place to sensitize the municipal authorities for the need to generate and approve a territorial document that encouraged the values of the area and the connectivity among the Precoastal and Coastal ranges. n nThe conclusions from the day presented a first outline of the need to delimit and name the seven n"Green Routes" (Obac-Olorda, Sant Llorenç-Collserola, Farell-Marina, Gallifa-Gallecs, Tagamanent-Céllecs, Calma-Corredor and Montseny-Montnegre) analyzed during the different speeches, as well as the will to seek the recognition of these Green Routes as open spots in order to be able to enjoy a environmentally balanced territory, both now and in the future.
