Description
The project we have in our hands is a teaching manual, a first attempt to organise the contents of a relatively young subject such as the Sociocultural Dimension of Tourism, born out of the new university degree studies. Travel, and tourism at the same time, is a social and transversal fact. Thus, it brings together a wide variety of areas of public and personal life, such as culture (in a broad sense), urban planning, transport, economics, psychology, sociology, politics, the representation of places and the creation of destinations, anthropology, and a long etcetera.
