The conference has been promoted by the Department of Communication of the Pompeu Fabra University and co-organised with the Barcelona R Users Group and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, and is aimed at anyone who uses or has an interest in R, a programming language used especially by statistics and data scientists from all branches of knowledge and technology: social sciences (such as data journalism, politics, sociology or economics), bioinformatics, computational, earth sciences, health sciences, data analysis, ecology, marine sciences and many others.
