This volume includes papers and papers presented at the 2nd International Symposium on Noucentisme, held at the University of Girona in March 2017, which focused on Catalan Noucentisme in relation to the European cultural context.
Noucentisme has often been studied as an isolated phenomenon, as if it had developed outside the cultural history of Europe at the time. Some scholars have already done work to correct this perception and this Symposium wanted to insist on it, presenting the work of a series of researchers who would help us see the Noucentista movement from different perspectives and in relation to culture and society.
