Description
This paper aims to establish and characterize the main stages of forest landscape evolution of the Girona region between 1950 and 2000. To do this using various information sources, both quantitative and qualitative in nature (statistics, maps, historical and current photographs, literary texts, interviews ...), along with a number of graphic elements, photographic and cartographic data, not only as illustrations but as story elements. The intention is to provide a holistic view of the evolution and perception of the forest landscape, emphasizing the impact of economic activities and fires, to raise potential future landscape scenarios.
