Description
Since the implementation of the European Higher Education Area, teaching methodology has evolved towards active and competence-based learning. The Faculty of Nursing of the University of Girona has been a pioneer in the application of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), a strategy that places the student as the protagonist of their learning through the resolution of real situations.
This guide serves as a roadmap for teaching staff involved in PBL methodology, providing complete and clear information on methodology, organisation, operation and assessment processes. It also incorporates the gender perspective and the Sustainable Development Goals, current challenges for the University, which acts as a key agent to address them. It is an essential basic guide for teaching staff who are new to this methodology, and it is also open to researchers and health professionals who seek to deepen their knowledge of this methodology and adapt it to the current needs of nursing education.
