"The Magdalenian in the province of Girona" is a very important about the prehistory of Catalonia Pere Alsius left in great part unpublished work. Although not dated all the signs indicate that it was written during the early twentieth century and perhaps completed in 1906. Several drafts have been preserved, and especially the final version, consisting of a manuscript of 531 pages and an album of 68 sheets. This latest version is published here. There is still a newer incomplete version, drafted to suit small publication by deliveries in the magazine Catalonia, where it came to be published, between 1907 and 1908, five chapters, which in the manuscript and this year ranging from IV to VIII.n
